AMY Snell has drive and determination in abundance.

The inspirational youngster was crowned Teenager of the Year at the Warrington Guardian Inspiration Awards last year and we’re looking to honour more of the town’s fantastic young people at this year’s event.

The 2024 glittering award ceremony will be held at The Village Hotel on Thursday, April 25 and a dozen of Warrington’s most inspirational individuals, groups and teams will be recognised for their hard work over the past 12 months.

Do you know someone who deserves one of this year’s awards?

Child / Teenager of the Year 2024 is one of 12 honours we will be giving out to charity champions, health heroes and good neighbours in our annual Inspiration Awards.

Do you know someone who has shown real bravery or courage?

Have they overcome adversity in their personal lives or gone beyond the call of duty by risking their own safety to help others?

We want to hear about all the inspirational people, teams and organisations who make a difference in the lives of others living in the town.

Tell us your nominations for Warrington’s most hardworking and inspirational residents.

The awards given out on the night will honour the positive people living and working at the centre of our community and recognising their hard work, determination and acts of kindness.

2023 Teenager of the Year Award winner Amy Snell with Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust chief executive, Professor Simon Constable and presenter Leanne Campbell

Sixteen-year-old Amy received her award this time last year after being nominated by her sister, who described her as a “loving and caring individual”.

After Amy’s mum Clare was taken ill in 2021, the youngster visited her mum daily in hospital, completed her GCSEs and had her Year 11 prom.

Nominating Amy, her sister said: “She is so strong for everything she has been through without our mum.

“Our family could not be any prouder of her and considering she is only 16-years-old. She has acted so maturely and has done everything she can to help our mum and our family.

“Mum is so extremely proud. Amy is the most caring, loving person and anyone who knows Amy will agree.”

Do you know someone as inspirational as Amy? Would you like to nominate someone or a group of people for our next awards?

There are 12 categories honouring the most inspirational people living in Warrington and we need your nominations.
