A WARRINGTON-born company is in the running for a prestigious award for its contribution to the world of education.

Primary Languages Network, originally based in Lymm, attended the BETT Awards in London this week to celebrate their award nomination for enterprises bringing technological innovation to the world of education.

Enabling all teachers to deliver outstanding teaching of modern foreign languages in every school has been a life-long mission for the company’s founder Janet Lloyd former language teacher and advisors to Warrington schools.

The now Stockport-based team has helped a range of schools across Warrington with its services including St Augustines, Ravenbank, Burtonwood, Birchwood, Evelyn Street and others.

Speaking on the nomination, Janet said: “This team that has harnessed the latest technology and its formidable experience to help children all over England and beyond access the life long skills and joys of language learning.

“The BETT awards are highly competitive with hundreds of submissions and we are particularly proud to be bringing an often underappreciated subject of foreign languages here and highlighting its rightful place in the primary school curriculum.”

Primary Languages Network‘s Premium Plus membership was nominated in the Primary Digital Learning Product Broad Curriculum category.
