PRINCESS Anne shocked shoppers in a surprise visit to a Warrington village today.

The royal took a trip to Save the Children on London Road in Stockton Heath this morning, Tuesday.

A number of people gathered around the charity shop to catch a glimpse of the Princess.

Princess Anne has been a president of the charity since 1970 and is known to spend a significant amount of time visit its projects across the country.

It isn’t the first time she has visited the store in the village.

She made a visit back in 2006 and 1994 and was greeted by a crowd of people both times.

In a post on X, Helen Spirit shared a picture of Princess Anne’s visit.

She said: “The fabulous Princess Anne paid a visit to our little village today.

“No fuss, no drama, just good old fashioned duty.

“She is just wonderful.”

Meanwhile Adrian Cunliffe shared a video of her visit in which she can be seen getting into a Bentley outside of Save the Children.

Crowds outside the shop can be heard cheering and applauding the Princess.
