STORM Jocelyn continues to batter the region, and has caused delays to train services in the area.
The severe weather conditions have seen a tree blown onto the tracks at Hunts Cross, disrupting services in the area.
Although the tree has now been cleared from the track, delays are to be expected while the services get back on schedule.
According to Merseyrail: "Due to a tree on the line in the Aigburth area.
"The tree has now been removed and services are returning to normal with dome delays and alterations likely."
Posting on social media, Merseyrail wrote: "Hunts Cross disruption - the tree has now been removed from the line and services are beginning to return to normal.
"Some services may still face delays or alterations; thank you to the team at Network Rail Liverpool for your incredible hard work today."
