A SET of roadworks that caused traffic chaos will continue into next week.
The commute on Winwick Road has been worse than normal over recent days due to gas works by Cadent.
The work in question is on the A49 neat to the traffic light junction with the A50 Long Lane.
At peak times such as rush hour, the works have been adding more than 20 minutes on to normal journey times, with congestion stretching back in either direction.
A traffic notice states that the lane closures will remain until Wednesday, January 24.
