A POPULAR south Warrington walking spot has undergone a revamp.
Ackers Pit has been closed for a number of weeks to allow for Stockton Heath Parish Council to put in a new pathway.
The walkway can often become waterlogged and muddy in poor conditions, but it has now been improved for visitors.
Ackers Pit is expected to reopen over the next few days.
In a Facebook post, the parish council shared new pictures of the pathway as well as some news about the work.
It reads: “One beautiful path, nearly ready to go.
“You should be able to walk the furry friends on Ackers Pit by the weekend.
“A huge thank you to Northwich Town Council for all its hard work.”
