THE New Year brought more than just good luck and resolutions for five overjoyed couples in Warrington who welcomed their new-born babies into the world on the first day of 2024.

Warrington Hospital celebrated the birth of four boys and one girl on their maternity ward on New Year’s Day.

Jessica and Christopher Monks were the first in the hospital to welcome their beautiful baby boy into the world.

Warrington Guardian:
The 32-year-olds from Newton-le-Willows saw the arrival of baby Monks, who is yet to be named, at 12.14am on New Year’s Day morning, weighing 7lb 5oz.

“We were due on December 28, so he was late,” Jessica explained. “He was the first in the hospital to be born.”

Having been dispatched from the hospital today, Tuesday, she added that he is doing well and is healthy.

“He has a big sister, Emilia, who is four,” she said.

The second couple to see the arrival of their new-born on New Year’s Day was Hollie Buckley and Rick Moore.

Warrington Guardian:
Hollie, 32, gave birth to a baby boy at 11.06am, weighing 6lb 13oz.

“He was a lovely New Year’s Day surprise,” Hollie said. “He was due on January 9.”

The Orford couple are yet to give their baby boy a name but have been discharged from the hospital today.

“We are fantastic, over the moon,” Hollie added.

The couple have three older children, Erin, 13, Finley, 11 and Lillie, six.

A third baby was delivered on the ward at 12.26pm on New Year’s Day.

Warrington Guardian:
Parents, Chelsey Taylor and Dan Russell had a planned inducement set for last Friday, despite having a due date of January 4.

However, days later on January 1, they welcome their baby boy Noah James Taylor-Russell to the world, weighing 8lb 1oz.

Chelsey, 28, from Orford, told the Warrington Guardian that she predicted Noah would arrive in January but had not anticipated it would be on the first day of the year.

Meanwhile dad to Noah Dan, 30, expected their first child to be born before Christmas Day.

“We are still in the hospital, recovering, but baby is well and doing good,” Chelsey said.

Ruth and Daniel Winter were the next happy parents to meet their baby girl Florence Charlotte Elizabeth Winter.

Warrington Guardian:
Florence, named after the location where the couple wed in Italy back in 2018, was born at 4pm on the dot, weighing 6lb 15oz.

Ruth, 33, explained how her middle names Charlotte and Elizabeth are after her grandad Charles and Daniel’s grandma.

The Grappenhall couple were given a due date of January 5.

“She was born by c-section because she was breach,” Ruth said. “She has a big brother, Theo, he is two years and three months old.”

A huge congratulations to each couple that became parents again or for the very first time as we welcomed in the new year.
