HAVE you read this Appleton author’s dramatic fiction novel that has made it in OK Magazine and The Mirror’s gift guides?

Number Thirty-Two is Cassie Steward’s first novel to be released, one she wrote while in the confinements of her home during lockdown.

A book she ‘never thought would see the light of day’ is now quickly become a top read and has been not only chosen in national gift guides but also as a staff recommended read in Waterstones.

“It's been such an unexpected and amazing journey, I've been so lucky with the support it's had,” Cassie said.

“I still can't believe how many people have read it and are championing it, leaving such lovely reviews and telling other people.”

Cassie highlights the books genre as women's contemporary fiction.

The novel is set in London and is a saga that follows the journey of two families who live next door to one another spanning from the 1980s to the present day.

Anna, the main character, is older when she is first introduced to the story and she is in mortgage arrears, having lived reclusively for decades.

She was once a wife and a mother. She is forced to sell up, and as she clears the house, she revisits the memories of the people who once filled the empty rooms, unearthing the secrets of their lives and telling the story of how she ended up alone.

Summarising, Cassie said: “It's a story of enduring friendships, loss and second chances.”

The book, which is available on Amazon and Waterstones, has been at hit in the Waterstones bookstores in Warrington.

“It's currently featured in the gift guides of OK magazine, S magazine with The Express and Notebook magazine with The Mirror this week,” she added.

The sequel to Number Thirty-Two has already been finished so keep your eyes peeled for more from Cassie in the near future.
