BIRCHWOOD residents battled through stormy conditions to put on a Christmas party.
Organised by the residents of Forbes Close, the Christmas party is an annual event held in the street,
Residents did not let the weekend's stormy conditions put them off the festivities, however.
Julie Brereton is a Birchwood town councillor and part of the community that enjoyed the party on Saturday, December 9 - she said: "Mark Hutton and his wife Carla are an absolute credit to the community in which they live.
"I've never seen such spirit, love and thought as they both give out in abundance to their neighbours and friends, massive thanks to them both.
"Also big thanks to all who contributed to making the event so special for the children of Forbes Close."
Mark Hutton added: "We didn't let the weather defeat us."
The party was complete with fun, music, and even a visit from Father Christmas.
