A former car park site has been transformed for the scheme which comprises of two one-bedroom and two two-bedroom apartments for affordable rent.

Funding for the project came both from WHA and a significant grant from Homes England, the Government's housing and regeneration agency.

Nicola Spedding, representing Homes England, said: “As the Government’s housing and regeneration agency, increasing the supply of quality affordable homes remains one of our key objectives and we are committed to supporting ambitious housebuilders of all sizes to build those homes and communities - this investment through the Affordable Homes Programme does just that, enabling Warrington Housing Association to build four much-needed new homes that the people of Warrington can be proud of."

Construction of the four apartments was completed on November 24 with the first tenants already moved in.
