A MAN who threatened to burn a woman’s house down has walked free from court.
Sean Williams’s behaviour left his victim fearing that his threat would actually be carried out, court documents state.
The case of the 33-year-old, of no fixed abode, Warrington, was heard before Warrington Magistrates’ Court.
In his absence, he was found guilty of threatening to damage or destroy property.
The offence, which happened in Warrington, dates back to New Year’s Day this year.
Williams was handed a one-year community order in which he must complete up to 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 210 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay court costs of £640 and a surcharge of £114.
