IT’S back!

The highly-anticipated Warrington Guardian Inspiration Awards are back again for 2024 and they’re coming to The Village Hotel in the new year.

After the success of last year’s star-studded event, Radio City presented Leanne Campbell will be welcomed back to host the glittering ceremony which honours charity champions, health heroes and good neighbours across Warrington.

Following a difficult few years due to the Covid pandemic, residents and businesses are currently facing additional challenges with the current cost of living crisis so we want to recognise the inspirational people, teams and organisations in our town who make a difference to the lives of others.

We want to hear about all the positive people living and working at the centre of our community and recognise their hard work, determination and acts of kindness.

Our Warrington Guardian Inspiration Awards – held in association with Warrington Borough Council – are making a welcome return with a dozen special honours due to be given out during a ceremony at The Village Hotel on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Over the past few years the Warrington Guardian has continued to support local businesses, charities and schools by highlighting their hard work and achievements, and the Inspiration Awards 2023 was a huge success, with more than a dozen honours given out on the night.

Richard Duggan, Warrington Guardian editor, said: “Here at the Warrington Guardian reporting on bad news is part of the job but we also take great pride in recognising the positive stories in our community too.

“Our town’s residents and businesses continue to face challenges due to the cost of living crisis and that’s why we believe it’s more important than ever to take time out to shine a spotlight on the inspiring people, teams and organisations in our town who make a difference to the lives of others.

“So, we’re delighted to be able to announce that our Warrington Guardian Inspiration Awards are making a welcome return for 2024.

“We’ve continued to be overwhelmed by the individual acts of kindness and collective community efforts of others that takes place in our town.

“The record number of nominations we received for last year’s Warrington Guardian Inspiration Awards and Education Awards are proof of the inspiring work that continues to be carried out in the town.

“We look forward to honouring some of Warrington’s most inspirational people and recognising their achievements.”
