COULD this be Warrington’s most beautiful and most expensive Christmas tree?

Decked out in lavish ornaments all exclusively purchased from Bents, Christine Mitchell has shelled out a whopping £6,000 on decorations for her masterpiece tree.

The aesthetics practitioner from Westbrook has spent the past 10 years building up her enviable collection, hitting the Bents January sale to find new decorations to add to the ten-footer.

Her husband Laurence said this project has been a way for her to exercise her creativity in other areas besides aesthetics.

“It an expression of her keen eye for art,” he said. “She has built the decorations up from Bents Garden Centre.

“It takes her three days to prepare. This year she has done a pink and white theme.”

Laurence, 49, told how Christines clients are always wowed when they enter their home, also the base of her practice, and see all the beautiful Christmas decorations.

The tree, which was also purchased from the popular Cheshire garden centre, has been decorated within an inch of its life with dazzling ornaments.

Among the decorations is a white pair of ice-skating shoes, white pinecones, fluffy rabbits, fairies and Christmas nutcrackers.

“She loves doing it every year and to see it grow is amazing,” Laurence added. “Its got accessories all the way around. It’s a real showstopper.”

But the beautiful Christmas décor doesn’t stop there.

Decorations spill all through the house, with table toppers and tinsel wrapped with sparkling lights.

Mini Christmas trees are even dotted around the lounge. Not to mention the Santa clause and snowman.

Christine has always had an artistic eye and has run her own aesthetics and beauty business Chris Michelle Aesthetics for the last 12 years.

The thriving business sees approximately 10,000 clients walk through the doors each year.

Laurence said the Christmas decorating has been a ‘test’ for his wife to utilise her ‘gift’ in other areas – a test which has clearly paid off.

“There is no more room left on the tree,” Laurence stated. “I say to her ‘we have got the whole of Bents in our house’.”
