TWO fire engines were called to a kitchen fire in Great Sankey yesterday.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze at a property on Ross Close.
The alarm was raised at 1pm on Friday.

The fire is believed to have been caused by cardboard being left on a cooker hob.
Crews also used a large fan to clear smoke from the property.
Firefighters from Warrington and Penketh dealt with the incident.
