BIRCHWOOD Park has announced the launch of a regional amateur photography competition.

The park is the largest out-of-town business destination in the region, and it has now launched a competition for amateur photographers.

According to the park: "The Autumn Photography Competition is a bid to showcase the region’s most talented amateur photographers with prizes to be won.

"Running on Facebook and Instagram, the park is looking for both visitors and occupiers to capture the very best images of Birchwood Park that fit within one of the three categories."

Those categories are:

  • Welcome to autumn
  • The animals of Birchwood Park
  • Wellbeing (for example, the team enjoying a nice lunch)

Three winners will be chosen, who will receive one of the following prizes:

  • £100 a Love2Shop gift card
  • A framed image on display at Birchwood Park

To enter, photographers should upload their image(s) to social media and tag Birchwood Park or use the hashtag #AutumnAtBirchwood.

Martin O’Rourke, commercial director at Birchwood Park, said: “For years we’ve been tagged in some amazing images of our park and we felt it was the right time to give back and showcase some of the region’s most talented amateur photographers.

"Simply upload your best image and make sure to tag us to be in with a chance of winning.

"The competition closes on November 22, and we’ll be sharing all entrees on our Instagram page @birchwood_park in the coming weeks."
