St Philip’s is a Church of England Aided Primary School for children aged from 4 to 11 years old. Our school has three classes per year group from Reception to Year 6 and is located in the Westbrook District of Warrington.

St Philip Westbrook Church of England Primary School works together to achieve their vision of ‘Together we aim high and with God’s love we can fly.” Christian values are at the heart of their teaching and learning and they encourage all of the children to put these values into practice in every aspect of school life.

“At St Philip’s we aim to create a loving community, enfolded by Christian values. Here children can develop their God given potential in a secure, nurturing and happy environment that embraces excellence and enables children to live life in all its fullness.”

Warrington Guardian:

Their latest Ofsted Report states:

‘St Philip (Westbrook) CofE Aided Primary School continues to be a good school. There is enough evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school could be judged outstanding if we were to carry out a graded inspection now. The school’s next inspection will be a graded inspection…. This school is a vibrant and aspirational place, where pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), thrive. Pupils are happy. They get on well together and are considerate of each other’s feelings. Pupils who have recently joined the school settle in quickly. Everybody is welcome.’

At St Philip Westbrook C of E Primary School, the wellbeing of children and young people is at the heart of everything they do. Wellbeing is about whether the children are flourishing in their daily lives. They consider if they are feeling safe, are healthy, are achieving, are nurtured, are active, are respected, are responsible, and are included.

Their staff work tirelessly to ensure that children flourish academically, spiritually and socially. Their most recent SIAMS inspection report states, ‘St Philip’s embraces excellent academic rigour by working with all pupils to achieve their God-given potential within a bold, exciting curriculum.’

Warrington Guardian:

St Philip’s Link Club offers children a secure, safe and comfortable place to have fun before and after school.  All staff are trained in Childcare, First Aid and Food Hygiene and are dedicated in making your child’s time at our Link Club a happy one. The club has two rooms to accommodate the children, a purpose-built cabin for the younger children and the small hall for the older children, so all play and craft activities can be provided to meet each age group’s needs.

During the autumn term preceding your child’s application they invite prospective parents to visit the school, which provides you with the opportunity to look around the building and find out more information.
