CHRISTMAS has arrived at Bents Garden and Home.

The garden centre's festive display signals, to many, the start of the Christmas period in Warrington.

Staff at Bents have been working to put the displays together for 10 weeks, and it has all been kept strictly under wraps - until now.

The Christmas section was officially unveiled by the managing director of Bents, Matthew Bent, and deputy mayor of Warrington, Cllr Carol Benson.

Speaking at the event, the managing director said: "Christmas has been a part of our family business for as long as I can remember and it never loses any of its charm or excitement, especially when we’re surrounded by such beautiful and inspirational displays."

A statement from the garden centre discusses new additions for the festive season: "This year’s Winter Food Market features even more tasty treats and new for 2023 is Bents’ iconic Airstream trailer serving freshly made fish and chips.

"Now that Christmas at Bents is open there is a full calendar of festive events planned at the Centre, starting with Father Christmas’ arrival parade on Saturday, November 9 at 4pm.

"Father Christmas will be joined by a host of festive friends including the very mischievous Elf on the Shelf."

The unveiling of the Christmas display at Bents takes place around the same period of time each year, and the opening event was incredibly popular today, Wednesday.
