ONE of the most popular beauty spots in Warrington has received an award for its consistently great reviews.

Tripadvisor has issued Walton Hall and Gardens with another Travellers’ Choice award.

The award is given annually to businesses that consistently receive excellent and very good ratings from customers.

The estate is currently first on the list of the ‘top attractions in Warrington’.

One recent review left on Tripadvisor for Walton Hall and Gardens praises the amount to do there.

It reads: “There is so much to see and explore at Walton Hall and Gardens, it’s a brilliant place for a family day out.

“Entry is free, once inside there is a huge amount of space to explore, including nature trails, woodland walks, duck ponds, and flower gardens.

“There is a children's zoo with farm animals, a large play area suitable for all ages, and there's also mini adventure golf and pitch ‘n’ putt (additional charges for this).

“There is also the addition of a treetop high ropes course, a large hall and heritage centre, plus a lovely cafe.

“Many events are held throughout the year, including food fayres and Christmas events, all of which have been amazing that we've attended.

“We visit regularly and would highly recommend.”

Responding to the news, council leader Russ Bowden said: “I’m delighted to hear that Walton Hall and Gardens continues to be a favourite tourism destination in Warrington.

“The quality and quantity of reviews the estate receives on Tripadvisor is a testament to the hard work of the estate team to ensure that Walton continues to be the jewel in Warrington’s crown and remains a popular visitor destination for many years to come.”
