RESIDENTS have praised police for dealing with parking issues by ‘selfish clowns’.

Over the weekend, four fixed penalty notices were issued to motorists for their parking outside of Lymm Dam.

Each vehicle was fully parked on the zig-zags.

It isn’t the first time that fixed penalty notices have been issued in this area.

And last year, a driver who parked on the zig-zags was even fined £1,000 by the courts after disputing a parking ticket.

In a Facebook post shared by police over the weekend, many residents responded to the ‘brilliant work’ carried out by officers in issuing the fines.

One person said: “Brilliant work.

“They don’t care about pedestrians, mothers with pushchairs, or people on mobility scooters and the difficulty their parking causes.”

Another said: “These are selfish clowns and should be banned for a few months to smarten up their ideas.”
