THE latest step of the transformation of Birchwood Community Hub starts today, Monday.

The LiveWire-run building is in the process of being redeveloped.

And the next stage will see the closure of the gym from today until September 25.

The work will also see the Studio shut until September 25.

The library closes on September 9 until September 25.

The indoor tennis courts reopened on Saturday.

A spokesman said: "Despite the temporary closures, LiveWire is committed to providing customers with opportunities to engage in the activities they love. The semi-operational status means you can still participate in classes and maintain your fitness journey."

Warrington Guardian:

What are the changes at the hub:

• Modern library – transforming an underutilised bar area into a contemporary library space complete with a dedicated children’s section and computer facilities

• Enhanced reception area and changing rooms – upgrading these areas to provide you with a more comfortable and welcoming entry to the facilities

• Upgraded fitness suite – featuring a selection of new equipment

• Holistic wellbeing – the integration of leisure, library, and community services under one roof, fostering wellbeing in every aspect of your life

• Ground-floor Group Cycle Studio – introducing a brand-new dedicated Group Cycle Studio with a selection of instructor-led classes, as well and Les Mills virtual classes available on-demand

• First-floor Fitness Studio extension – building on the current fitness studio to offer even more options for your fitness routines

A spokesman said: "As these exciting changes are implemented, the team at LiveWire appreciates customer’s patience.

"The transformed Birchwood Community Hub will serve as a modern, dynamic, and inclusive space for everyone in the community."
