HAPPY students at UTC Warrington celebrated some ‘significant achievements’ yesterday, Thursday, as GCSE results were finally revealed.
One of several high achievers from the day was year 11 student Alfie Glover who achieved six 9s in key subjects including maths, further maths, biology, chemistry and physics.
Additionally, he achieved a distinction * in engineering.
A spokesperson for UTC said Alfie’s exceptional grades are a ‘testament’ to his dedication and determination, despite a difficult period leading up to exams during the pandemic.
“Alfie has demonstrated his exceptional academic prowess by attaining a remarkable set of grades,” they said.
“This year's results reflect the dedication and hard work of our students, along with the support of our committed staff and faculty.”
The school is not only celebrating results success today but is also excited to announce its ‘groundbreaking development’ which will introduce T-Level programmes to the curriculum as of this year.
Starting this September, students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in T-levels meticulously designed in collaboration with industry experts.
The new T-level programs include design surveying and planning, engineering and manufacturing, digital support services, and laboratory sciences.
A spokesperson for the school summarised results day, saying: “As we celebrate these achievements, UTC Warrington extends its gratitude to the students, parents, staff, and partners who have collectively contributed to this success story.
“Our commitment to academic excellence, industry relevance, and student growth remains unwavering, and we look forward to continuing our journey of empowering the next generation of skilled professionals.”
