TREATMENT for a ‘precious’ four-year-old with ‘relentless’ leukaemia could cost up to £1 million.

Three years ago, Dillan Ramsey was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

After two years of undergoing chemotherapy and suffering, Dillan, whose mum Amy is originally from Culcheth, relapsed in August 2022.

Dillan underwent a bone marrow transplant at Christmas last year but he sadly relapsed again in March.

He then had CAR T-cell therapy in May and his future looked promising.

But last week, his family received the devastating news that Dillan, a happy and active boy who loves playing with dinosaurs, has relapsed again in his bone marrow and that there are no more treatment options in the UK.

Despite initially being told the youngster had a 93 per cent cure rate, Dillan’s family has now been told this chance is very small and any treatment going forward for Dillan would be an experimental trial.

The only option left for him is to take part in an experimental trial in America with the hope that this will finally cure his leukaemia – however, this comes at a cost of £1,000,000 which Amy and her partner Oz must fund themselves.

The family is now appealing for help from the public to raise these vital funds.

Amy, who now lives in London with her family, told the Warrington Guardian: "He is the most precious, kind, amazing little boy with the funniest character.

“I can't bare the thought of losing him, we need as much help financially as we can get.

“Please help save him.

“If you have a charity pot in work, please share it. If you can go without your daily coffee for a week, please share it.

“We need your help.”

So far, £295,000 has been raised to support the family with Dillan’s treatment.
