POLICE have confirmed that they have already made an arrest in relation to Creamfields – days before it is due to start.

The popular event, which attracts dance music fans from across the country, is due to take place between this Thursday and Sunday.

Around 70,000 people are set to descend on Daresbury for the popular and sold-out event.

As people begin to arrive in the town, Cheshire Police officers charged with policing the event have confirmed that an arrest has already been made.

The force’s Roads and Crime Unit said: “The Creamfields proactive operation started yesterday.

“One suspect has been arrested for being an illegal overstayer, with drugs and a baseball bat retrieved.

“The car was unfit for the road and so it was also seized.”

This year, the ‘jaw-dropping’ Creamfields line-up features the likes of Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Becky Hill, Eric Prydz, and Martin Garrix.
