A DESSERT store based at Birchwood Shopping Centre has closed its doors, the centre has confirmed.
Milk It! Desserts opened fully in February this year, and proved to be popular - it was rated as the best spot for desserts in Birchwood, as per TripAdvisor.
Having been featured in the Warrington Guardian when it opened, the store had received lots of positive feedback, and was a labour of love for its owners.

However, after around six months of trading at Birchwood Shopping Centre, the centre's management has confirmed that the store has closed its doors for the last time.
Rumours came online that the store had closed down after passers-by noticed the site's doors were closed, and that the store's social media pages had gone quiet.
Confirming the news to the Warrington Guardian, Birchwood Shopping Centre's manager, John Magee, said: "We can confirm that Milk It! Desserts have permanently closed their doors here at Birchwood Shopping Centre.
"We are very sad to see them go, after having been part of the Birchwood family since February this year and we wish them all the best for the future.
"Our team is always working hard to attract new occupiers to the centre, with the past few months alone seeing some exciting new store openings including Peacocks and Bonmarche."

The dessert store was the first of its kind in the area, and was fitted with bespoke furniture - its menus were inclusive of a number of dietary requirements, and were always being added to by members of staff at the site.
It is unknown whether the business will be moving elsewhere, as the sign at the front of the site reads: "Temporarily closed due to maintenance."
