A RESIDENT with a WA postcode is celebrating after a whopping Postcode Lottery win.

On Saturday, a lucky resident from down the road in Runcorn, who wishes to remain anonymous, was told the news they had won the huge sum.

They were the only person who was playing in the winning postcode of WA7 2YN meaning they landed a cheque for £388,734.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Jeff Brazier said: “A massive congratulations to our winner in Runcorn. I hope they enjoy the life-changing sum and have plenty of fun celebrating.”

The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery that aims to raise money for charities while also bringing cash prizes to homes across the UK.

Charity Stick ‘n’ Step was awarded more than £18,000 by the charity in 2021 to help support children with cerebral palsy and their families.

The charity has a centre in Runcorn designed to help children reach their personal potential in terms of mobility, confidence, and independence which helps more than 100 families each year.

Players can sign up with their postcode and pay £10 per month with a chance to win when they are automatically entered into a draw.

A minimum of 33 per cent from each ticket goes to charity and players have raised more than £950 million for over 9,000 charities and good causes since 2005.
