A VILLAGE in Warrington has been named as one of the most desirable places to live in Britain.
Although the majority of places are in the south east of England, Lymm has made its way onto the list and has been ranked 22 out of 50.
In new research commissioned by The Telegraph, towns were ranked using several factors including the state of health, cost of homes, the jobs people living there have, and the qualifications they hold.
Estate agents Savills were tasked with putting together the list, using the latest data from the most recent census.
In February, the Warrington Guardian revealed that Lymm was the most educated area in the town according to census figures from 2021.
The new data showed that almost half of Lymm's over 16 population has a Level 4 qualification or above.
49 per cent of working-age residents possess Level 4 qualifications or higher, versus the national average for England and Wales of 34 per cent.
The village hosts many celebrations and festivals throughout the year – varying from Dickensian Day to Lymm Festival to Lymm Duck Race.
And it boasts many beautiful walks, restaurants, pubs, and shops.
Joining Lymm on the top 50 list are Knutsford at 35 and Wilmslow at 23.
Meanwhile at the top of the list is Harpenden in Hertfordshire followed Cobham in Surrey.
