RESIDENTS have captured on camera the moment thunder and lightning storms struck Warrington last night, Saturday.
After a week of high temperatures, the Met Office issued another yellow warning that came into place at midnight last night with a forecast of heavy rain and thunder and lightening.
Great footage and images taken by residents showed the lightening striking through the night, with more or the same expected over the next 24 hours.
While it is expected to stay humid with temperatures of up to 23C, scattered showers are predicted to follow throughout the day and thunder and lightening is again forecast at 1pm, 3pm and 6pm.
