THERE’S a lot to see and do in Warrington.

Walton Hall and Gardens

Often referred to as the jewel in Warrington’s crown, it is no surprise that Walton Hall and Gardens comes out on top.

With more than 1,200 reviews, the green space has a 4.5 rating on Tripadvisor. And there is plenty of praise for different areas and activities within the gardens including the children’s zoo, crazy golf and the play area.

The natural beauty and ‘lovely walks’ that Walton Gardens offers has also been noted by many reviewers.

One visitor said: “Such a lovely place any time of year. Great to see the wild life venturing out after the winter, plenty of squirrels, ducks and birds.

Another said: “Lovely place,  never been before. Great for families and the little zoo was great. Would like to return in summer to see the rose garden.”

Woodlands Alpaca Farm

Second on the ‘landmark’ list is the Woodlands Alpaca Farm in Thelwall.

With 105 reviews, it is rated an impressive five stars.

It is described as a ‘wonderful’ and ‘fantastic’ experience among reviewers.

One said: “We have done a few Alpaca walks around the country but this was up there with the best.”

Another review reads: “What more could you want? Sunshine, gorgeous animals, friendly staff and company. Can’t recommend highly enough.”

Halliwell Jones Stadium

In at number three is the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Home to Warrington Wolves, the venue has even been praised by rival fans.

The stadium itself has been praised a lot on Tripadvisor along with the parking facilities, friendly stewards, and the food on offer.

The stadium has a four-star rating on Tripadvisor.

“Great stadium, easy access and great parking nearby. Well spaced out and not claustrophobic, great all round entertainment,” one review says.
