A NEW store has opened in Birchwood Shopping Centre that is supporting the autistic community.

The A World UK is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to promote the well-being of the autistic community.

They do this through the use of community stores, such as the new one in Birchwood.

Selling everything from tables and chairs, to sofas, cabinets, and fridges, the A World UK could be your new port of call for household items in Birchwood.

The shopping centre made the announcement of the new store on its social media pages, adding: "Next time you’re in the centre, visit the store, which is located in the old Dreams Floors, just up from Aldi."

As per the A World UK's website, the new store in Birchwood is set to be open seven days per week.

The opening hours are as follows:

  • Monday-Saturday: 9.30am-5pm
  • Sunday: 10am-6pm

The A World UK provides activities, events, and support to the autistic community, with funds raised through the profits made at community stores.

Birchwood now joins a list of various sites for the A World UK's stores, which includes Bury, Eccles, Hyde, Keighley, Leigh, Middleton, Preston, Salford, Skelmersdale, Stockport, Swinton, Ellesmere Port, and Bootle.
