RESIDENTS of Great Sankey came together in true patriotism to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III with a huge street party.
Mill Avenue was lined with bunting and balloons and flags were waving as they marked the momentous occasion on Saturday, May 6.
More than 70 neighbours took part in the event which had a joint goal of raising funds for two vital charities.
There was plenty to entertain the locals with a tombola, raffle, food and refreshments.
A whopping £400 was raised in total for their two chosen charities, St Vincent’s School for the blind and partially sighted and Breast Cancer UK.
Resident and part organiser of the event, Sue Hale said: “Everyone had a great time. Thank you all for coming.”
