A TECH solutions company is celebrating the opening of its brand new northern hub in the heart of Warrington.

CAE spent Friday, April 20, in high spirits following the ribbon-cutting at its swanky new northern hub, on Centre Park.

Regional staff descended on the business park to get a glimpse at the new offices, up-to-date with the latest tech, and a healthy dose of modern glass offices.

CAE chief executive officer, Justin Harling, was in attendance at the opening of the new northern hub, which he says shows that the company is committed to its people, and to the growth of the sector.

He said: "It's great to see everyone here at the northern hub, and this will help step up our growth plan.

"We're investing in our people."

Representatives from Cisco, one of CAE's biggest partners, were also in attendance at the opening event, citing how impressive it is seeing CAE's passion come across in projects such as this.

Other key members of the CAE team took centre stage, with one highlighting the company's humble beginnings: "Our first order was for £217 in Sunderland - recently, we completed an order worth £13million."

Justin discussed the location of the business park as being a crucial factor in the siting of the hub: "There are great rail links, with a station essentially across the road.

"Plus, there's a great pub in the business park, which always helps!"

One of the aspects of CAE that was on display at the opening was the importance of the company's people, and its clients.

The CEO said: "This is not just a job, and it’s not just an office – we’re built on the passion you can feel here.

"We're about finding the right talent for our customers."

When asked by the Warrington Guardian about the importance of having a northern hub, and choosing Warrington, Justin Harling said: "On a personal note, it feels like I'm coming home.

"I grew up 25 minutes down the road, and I started my career in the area - having this hub, where some people will be starting their career, means a lot to me."

He added: "There are so many brilliant businesses trying to grow

We need people to be able to grow – having that, and developing talent is important, and this hub is about giving them an environment they want to work in."

CAE is actively looking to fill gaps in its staff, which means the company is looking forward to hiring more members for the team.

When asked about how those gaps will be filled, a representative of CAE's HR department said: "We've got a jobs board on our website, which is updated with all the up-to-date vacancies; our social media pages have updates, too.

"But get in touch with us - there doesn't have to be a vacancy, you can make an introduction and we can go from there."
