FAMILY have sadly confirmed today that the body of former Saints prop Bryn Hargreaves has been found.

The 37-year-old, who had been living in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown in West Virginia, USA, had been missing since January 2022.

But sadly that search is now over - with his brother Gareth posting the devastating news on Facebook.

Gareth wrote: "RIP Bryn Hargreaves.

"With incredible sadness I can confirm after 14 months we have finally found Bryn.

"We still do not know the cause of death or what actually happened on 3/1/22.

"Thanks to all those that have helped in the search. We would appreciate a little space and will keep you updated when we have any further information x."

Hargreaves played 115 times for Saints after being recruited from Wigan by Daniel Anderson at the end of 2006.

He was the starting prop in Saints’ Wembley win over Hull FC in 2008.

He called time early on his rugby league career and emigrated to America.
