TWENTY weeks of roadworks will start in Great Sankey later this month.

Work will start on Omega Boulevard and Skyline Drive on Monday, March 27.

The closures will allow Scottish Power to carry mains installation works as part of the Green Recovery project.

The work will be split into two portions, first on Omega Boulevard and then Skyline Drive.

Driving will be banned on Omega Boulevard (northbound traffic) from its junction with Watergrove Crescent to its junction with Orion Boulevard; Skyline Drive (northbound traffic) from its junction with Orion Boulevard to its junction with Catalina Approach.

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The alternative routes will be as follows; Omega Boulevard (northbound traffic) via Lingley Green Avenue, Whittle Avenue, Burtonwood Road and Skyline Drive; Skyline Drive (northbound traffic) via Omega Boulevard, Lingley Green Avenue, Whittle Avenue, Burtonwood Road and Skyline Drive.
