THREE men from London have been charged with theft from a south Warrington pub.

It comes after officers from Cheshire Police conducted a stop check of a van travelling on the A49 London Road in Stretton.

Officers arrested three men, who have since been charged with the theft of cooking oil from the Stretton Fox pub nearby, the force has confirmed.

They are due to appear before Warrington Magistrates’ Court to face the charge next month.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Three men have been charged in connection with the theft of cooking oil from a public house in Warrington

“At 5am on Wednesday, March 1, officers spotted a transit van on the A49 in Stretton.

“Officers stopped and searched the vehicle, and the three occupants were arrested on suspicion of theft.

“Mitko Asenov, 27, and Asen Asenov, 32, both of Turnpike Lane in London, and Bozhidar Andreev, 35 and of Lordship Lane in London, were all subsequently charged with theft.

“The trio are all set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 19, for sentencing.”
