A SECOND vigil has been announced to take place in Warrington to remember Brianna Ghey.

The 16-year-old, from Birchwood, was murdered on Saturday, February 11.

Brianna was found with stab wounds at Culcheth Linear Park midafternoon - emergency services sadly declared that she died at the scene.

A candle-lit vigil has been announced to take place in Warrington town centre, in the old marketplace, to mark the loss of Brianna.

The Birchwood High School student will be remembered by mourners at the vigil, which has been announced to take place on Saturday, February 18, at 4.30pm in the old marketplace.

This is the second vigil that has been announced to take place in Warrington in memory of the teenager who was cruelly murdered over the weekend.

Another memorial will be taking place on Friday evening, on Culcheth Village Green, which will begin at 6.30pm.

The vigil in the town centre will be taking place exactly one week since Brianna was killed.

Cheshire Police charged two 15-year-olds with Brianna's murder on Wednesday morning - February 15 - with the teenagers later appearing at Chester Magistrates' Court.

The constabulary has urged members of the public not to speculate about Brianna's death, as this could prejudice the outcome of a trial.
