LYMM has been revealed as the most-educated area in Warrington, as of 2021.

The new data shows that almost half of Lymm's over-16 population has a Level 4 qualification or above.

49 per cent of working-age residents possess Level 4 qualifications or higher, versus the national average for England and Wales of 34 per cent.

On the whole, six areas in Warrington come above the average, whereas five have fallen short of it.

However, 10.2 per cent of Lymm's residents aged above 16 possess no recognised qualifications whatsoever - which amounts to around 1,058 residents.

According to the data released by the Office for National Statistics as part of its roundup of the 2021 census figures, nearly two-in-five Lymm homes are technically deprived.

The ONS measures household deprivation using four criteria: employment status, health, education, and housing.

Using those 'dimensions,' 38.4 per cent of all homes in Lymm are deprived in one area or more - nearly two-in-five.

At the latest count, there were 5,300 households across Lymm, housing 12,700 residents - this makes it the third most-populated area in Warrington, with Great Sankey and Latchford taking the top two spots.

In terms of employment, Lymm has a rate slightly above the national average of those in work, with 59 per cent of all residents over-16 working in Lymm.

The national average rate of employment is 57 per cent, according to the ONS.

Regarding unemployment, Lymm has an unemployment rate of two per cent of all over-16s - this does not include those retired or unable to work, as they are considered 'economically inactive.'

In terms of those deemed 'economically inactive,' 39 per cent of Lymm's over-16 residents fall into this category, which matches the national average exactly.

Keeping up with changing times, 42.9 per cent of all employed people in Lymm said that they mostly work from home, a trend that has continued past the end of national lockdowns.

Nearly 10 per cent of households in Lymm have no associated vehicles, meaning they rely entirely on Warrington's public transport networks.

More than five per cent of Lymm's residents own a second property, either within the UK or abroad.

All data has been sourced from the ONS' breakdown of the 2021 census.
