A GROUP of travellers have moved onto the car park of the Daresbury Park Hotel.
The group of seven caravans and associated vehicles have moved onto the hotel land.
There is no indication yet as to how long they will be able to stay.
The encampment is just metres away from a permanent traveller camp in Walton.
The hotel, owned by the Brittania Group is currently closed to the public while it houses asylum seekers.
It was once one of the most prestigious hotels in the area.
Brittania was ranked as the worst in the UK for the ninth year in a row by Which?
The accommodation, described as the 'hotel from hell', is based off the A56 on Chester Road.
The hotel is rated 2.5 on TripAdvisor with many recent reviews falling under the ‘terrible’ category.
One Daresbury Park Hotel guest took to TripAdvisor comparing the hotel to Chernobyl.
“If it is warmish outside seriously consider your car or a tent instead of a stay in Britannia’s Chernobyl,” the guest said.
