A GIRLS only Shukokai karate class is being launched in Warrington aimed at building confidence and developing discipline.
Sensei Sam Hickey is a 5th Dan instructor with more than 22 years’ experience and she will be taking the classes for young girls every Friday evening between 5pm and 5.45pm.
The sessions, which will be held at Sigma Studios on John Street in the town centre, will be a safe place for girls where they can practise a martial art, working up through their belts and competing against other youngsters.

Sam, who runs Purple Ghecko Health and Fitness Academy, said: “We’re thrilled to announce this new class for young girls in Warrington.
“We hope that through engaging in karate, our students will gain confidence, get physical exercise and develop discipline as well as increase their self esteem and have fun at the same time.”
