PRINCE Harry’s new book has been flying off the shelves in Warrington.

‘Spare’ the new memoir detailing Harry’s life and perspective, from the death of his mother to his recent estrangement from the Royal Family, was released today, Tuesday.

The highly anticipated book details the Duke of Sussex’s side of what he describes as “38 years of spin and distortion” and addresses what he claims to be the repeated “planting and leaking of stories” by his family about his wife Meghan Markle.

Despite a yellow rain warning leading to torrential weather, shoppers still came out in their droves to purchase the book in Warrington town centre.

WH Smith featured a line of people holding the Prince’s book, as it shot straight to the top of the hardcover charts on pre-orders.

A Waterstones employee, Ian Marsden, 49, told me how it would normally be a quiet morning, particularly due to the rain.

Due to Harry’s book, however, he said “we’ve sold a considerable amount already, definitely the only reason anyone has come in this morning is to buy the book.”
