THE special supplement ‘Born in 2022’ is out today, Thursday, and we can reveal the top ten boys’ and girls’ names for babies born in Warrington last year.
Jack, Teddy / Teddie and Theo / Theodore feature in the most popular names for boys and Daisy, Lily / Lilly and Ivy / Ivie were among the favourites for girls.
Jack and Teddy / Teddie were new entries for 2022 as they didn’t appear in the town’s top ten the year before as were Daisy and Esme / Esmay.
Noah and Louis / Louie retained their spots for boys with Arlie / Arley replacing Arlo on the list.
Also popular last year for boys were Hugo, Isaac and Ruben / Reuben.
Half of the most popular girls’ names from 2021 feature again in 2022 with Ivy / Ivie, Maisie, Poppy, Olivia and Lily / Lilly making another appearance.
Other new entries included Myla / Mylah, Sienna and Grace / Gracie.
Throughout the past 12 months, we have been appealing to Warrington Guardian readers to send in pictures of their newborns who were delivered at Warrington Hospital – or further afield – via our website.
Now, we have put together a special 16-page supplement celebrating Warrington’s newest residents and there are more than 320 babies.
Our annual ‘Born in….’ souvenir edition always special and this year’s is no exception - the ‘Born in 2022’ supplement will be one for family members to cherish.
Whether babies were born at hospital or at home, or if mums went into labour in an unusual place, we were again inundated with pictures from proud mums and dads across the town and we have tried to include as many newborn babies as possible.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted a photograph for ‘Born in 2022’ and don’t forget to keep hold of a copy or two for your son or daughter’s memory box.
