Birchwood dates and times revealed for Santa's sleigh visit

A traditional sight for many across Warrington, Father Christmas and his sleigh will be travelling around the town, and he will be visiting Birchwood and surrounding areas, too.

A number of organisations and charities arrange for Father Christmas' sleigh to travel around Warrington, and the dates and times of his visits in and around Birchwood have been announced.

Father Christmas' sleigh will be in Birchwood and Locking Stumps on Monday, December 12, between 5pm and 8pm.

Locations visited by the sleigh include:

• Benson Road
• Brock Road
• Admirals Road
• Greenfinch Grove
• Whinchat Drive
• Fieldfare Close
• Mallard Lane
• Oakwood Shops
• Ordnance Avenue
• Glover Road

Other areas of Birchwood will also be visited by the sleigh on Monday, December 12.

Free chocolates will be given out to children by the volunteers running the sleigh, and there will be buckets on hand for donations.

The sleigh visiting Birchwood on Monday, December 12 is being organised by volunteers from Warrington Youth Zone.

Father Christmas' sleigh will be stopping at Oakwood Shops between 6.15-6.45pm, and will also be at Turf and Feather, on Glover Road, from 7.30-8pm.

The Youth Zone sleigh will be visiting Culcheth on Monday, December 19, between 5-8pm, too.

Gorse Covert will also be playing host to Father Christmas and his sleigh in the build up to the big day.

This will be on Wednesday, December 21, beginning at approximately 5pm, according to the volunteers organising it.

• Ashdown Lane
• Applecross Close
• Rockingham Close
• Ringwood Close

The sleigh will end its tour of Gorse Covert at the car park of the Poacher pub, on Gorse Covert Road.
