LATCHFORD Village's newest eatery is a hit with locals, after promising to 'shake' things up for the area.

It was announced in June that the owners of Toast, on Knutsford Road, would be opening a new branch in Latchford Village.

Toast Treats is bringing deluxe milkshakes, stacked burgers, and 'filthy fries' to the village, as well as a whole host of sweet treats.

Katherine Hibbert and Stuart Lawton are the brains behind Toast Treats, and the pair have been friends since their days at high school when they attended Cardinal Newman Catholic High School (St John's at the time).

Stuart said that he had always wanted to 'do something with burgers' and that the thought of serving up burgers had always been in the back of his mind.

Since opening two weeks ago, the pair have been overwhelmed by the support they have received - from regular customers to first-timers.

Katherine said: "This new place has got a bit more room than the cafe, so it's a little easier in the kitchen for us.

"We learnt a lot of lessons when we opened Toast, so opening here went much smoother."

The pair have made the decision to source as much local produce as possible for their burgers, shakes, and desserts, too.

This includes using gelato from Gold's, which is based in Burtonwood.

Menu offerings include classic beefburgers, as well as 'chuggets,' tater tots, and 'filthy fries.'

Stuart and Katherine said they'd recommend the classic burger, and having tried the burger, we can agree that it really is something special.

Toast Treats also locally sources sweet treats such as Biscoff-stuffed cookies, Kinder Bueno biscuits, and smores cookie cups.

The concept for the new site was originally intended by Stuart to be in the cafe, and he envisioned an 'old-fashioned dessert cart' being in the cafe, but the size of the site meant that this wouldn't be possible - until now.

Katherine added: "It's hard work, but it's worth it.

"It's really good fun, and we've got some really good staff - without wanting to sound cheesy, we're like a little family."

Toast Treats is at 1 Knutsford Road, Latchford, and is open Thursday-Sunday.

Vegan and gluten-free alternatives are also available at the store - more information can be found on Toast's social media pages.
