RUGBY League World Cup organisers are expected a sizeable crowd for Sunday’s mammoth quarter-final between Samoa and Tonga in Warrington.

The two Polynesian giants face off at The Halliwell Jones Stadium in what is being billed as the game of the tournament so far for a place in the semi-finals, where either England or Papua New Guinea await.

It is thought over 8,000 tickets have already been sold, which means the crowd will already be the highest for a game at the home of Warrington Wolves during this tournament.

With further advanced and walk-up matchday sales still to be taken into account, the attendance appears set to be over 10,000.

Tickets remain on sale, with the cheapest Category D standing tickets in both the South and West Stands still available at rlwc2021.com/tickets, and supporters are being urged to buy early.

South Stand tickets had been priced at £40 but were reduced to £25 earlier this week.

Supporters are reminded that digital tickets for the game, which kicks off at 2.30pm, must be printed as The Halliwell Jones Stadium is unable to scan tickets on mobile devices.
