A HOME in Thelwall has well and truly got into the spirit (pardon the pun) of Halloween with an overwhelming display.

The house, at Deans Wharf, on Deans Lane, has well and truly been trimmed up for fright night, with a range of different decorations.

Featuring five movie projectors, two smoke machines, and half a dozen full-sized human skeletons, the Thelwall home has been transformed.

Andy Czyzewski is the mastermind behind the display, and is using the spooky scenery to raise money for Cheshire Dogs Home.

This is not Andy's first rodeo, either, having created a terrifying Halloween display back in 2020, too.

Featuring more than 60 individual components, this year's display is Andy's most ambitious to date.

He said: "I wondered if I had overdone it this year, but seeing the smiles on those passing by, then it's definitely worth the large electric bill I'll probably be facing.

"Most importantly, this year I'm collecting donations for Cheshire Dogs Home, which is a wonderful local charity that needs all the help it can get."

As an airline pilot, Andy said that he found it difficult to find time to plan for the display, so he began preparing a few months ago to ensure he had time to create the spooktacular display.

Andy said: "It's been very difficult to get the time as it's been an extremely busy flying year, taking people on their much-needed wonderful summer holidays after the pandemic.

"I had more Halloween items planned but ran out of time, so they are saved for an even bigger display next year!"

The Jet2.com pilot said that the neighbours have all been very supportive of his project, and he tries to be considerate with his displays: "I try to turn everything off at a reasonable time and keep the projection sounds low.

"They have been very supportive, especially with it being for a good cause."

Perhaps the biggest fan of Andy's Halloween displays is his two-year-old daughter, Cayla, who was fascinated by all of the different additions to the display that Andy was putting up this year.

Cayla simply asks Andy: "Daddy, what have you done to my house?"

The Halloween display can be found on Deans Wharf, Deans Lane, Thelwall - Andy says it's located over the bridge, adding: "Make sure you go after dark.

"Watch out for the real bats that fly around the house!"

Anyone visiting is being urged not to park on Deans Lane, as it could lead to severe congestion.
