WHO needs a good, strong cup of coffee to start the day?
With around 95 million cups of coffee drunk in the UK every day, it's clearly a firm favourite!
Today, Saturday, October 1 is international coffee - a whole day dedicated to the drink that is guaranteed to kick start your morning.
On average, people drink two cups of coffee a day with 80 per cent of UK households buying instant coffee to enjoy at home.
But what about going out for coffee?
Around 80 per cent of coffee shop goers visit their favourite venue at least once a week.
Earlier this year, in our Best of 2022 competition, we searched for Warrington's best cafe or coffee shop and Gourmand! took the crown.
Husband and wife team Julien Ramos and Olivia Le opened the Sankey Street cafe and coffee shop just over a year ago and they bake all their authentic and traditional French goods inhouse each day.
Why not celebrate International Coffee Day and visit Gourmand! for a strong cup of coffee and a French pastry?
Or maybe you'd like to call in for a cup of coffee at one of the town's other seven shortlisted cafes and coffee shops?
