PLACES for this year's Newton triathlon are now available for athletes who enjoy a challenge.
Entrants will test their fitness by swimming 400m at Selwyn Jones Sports Centre before cycling a 13.5 mile route and finishing with a 3.5 mile run on Newton's roads.
The event, part of the XME North West Tri Series, takes place on June 29.
Competitors will have the option of a free massage before and after the triathlon and a sporting market place will be held during the day.
Anyone aged 18 and above can enter. Entry is £30 for members of the British Triathlon Association and £34 for non-members. Relay teams can also enter.
