A DRUNK driver was caught on the M6 today and found to be almost three times over the legal alcohol limit.
The Mercedes car was seen swerving on the M56 and M6 at lunch time on Saturday, August 20.
North West Motorway Police received reports from other motorists that the vehicle was driving dangerously.
Officers stopped the vehicle on the M6 and the driver was breathalysed.
A police officer posted on social media: “The driver was almost three times over the legal limit, there arrested and coveyed to custody.”
The police thanked motorists for reporting the incident.
