A UNIQUE Brazilian restaurant will be arriving in the town centre this autumn – and will be the first of its kind in Warrington.

Following the success and rave reviews of its Stockton Heath eatery, Tomahawk Steakhouses Ltd is giving visitors to the town centre a rare treat with the opening of its second dining experience.

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse is set to open at Golden Square Shopping Centre.

Rio will take diners on a culinary journey into the Tijuca Urban Forest that surrounds Rio de Janeiro, with planted walls and flowered ceilings towering high above a traditional Brazilian Churrasco dining experience.

Warrington Guardian:

Rio’s specially trained gaucho chefs are on hand to serve their exquisite cuts of meat that are continuously carved at your table in a traditional Rodizio style.

You are in control of how much you eat as you’re given a double-sided red and green card, turn it green-side up and the chefs will start to serve you a selection of churrasco meats - and will continue to do so until you need a break, at which point you turn the card over to red so you can take a breather.

Rio will also offer a cocktail list filled with Brazilian twists and staff creations – such as the Rio Special and Ipanema Beach.

Golden Square Centre Director Ian Cox is delighted to welcome Rio Steakhouse to Golden Square's ‘ever- growing choice’ of dining experiences.

He said "Rio’s arrival further strengthens Golden Square's impressive food and drink offering and affirms our position as a lifestyle destination, where people can come daytime and evenings to shop, dine, be entertained and spend time having fun."

The restaurant will open its doors this autumn and is currently recruiting for a number of positions.

It will open in the former Prezzo and Dough Dough site.
