THIS was not the start to life in Northern Premier League West that Warrington Rylands wanted.

Gorsey Lane was left stunned as visitors Gainsborough Trinity took the lead through Jack Dyche after only 10 seconds.

They went on to seal a 3-0 win against last season's North West Counties Premier League champions in front of a crowd of 535.

After the disastrous start, things quickly got worse for Dave McNabb's men as Trinity doubled their advantage with a 14th-minute penalty put away by Andrew Wright.

Half-time brought a chance for Rylands, with four debutants in the starting line-up and three more on the bench, to regroup but Gainsborough netted again four minutes into the new period cortesy of Clayton Donaldson.
