AN investigation is set to be launched to discover the cause of a house fire in Culcheth.
Two fire engines from Birchwood and Warrington fire stations rushed to Severn Road at 12.09pm this afternoon, Tuesday.
On arrival at the scene, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and a main jet to extinguish the fire, which broke out in the roof.
A high pressure fan was also used to clear any residual smoke.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: βA fire in the roof space of a house was put out by firefighters from Birchwood and Warrington fire stations.
βAn investigation into the cause of the fire will be undertaken.β
